Okay, so my iPhone was being stubborn and wouldn’t update to iOS 17.5.1. It was super annoying, and I was determined to figure it out.
Troubleshooting Time
First, I checked my internet connection. You know, the basics. Made sure my Wi-Fi was working and that I had a strong signal. Everything seemed fine there.
Then, I made sure my phone had enough battery. I’ve had updates fail before because my battery was too low, so I plugged it in to be safe.
Next, I checked my storage. I’ve been taking a lot of photos and videos lately, so I thought maybe I was running out of space. I went to Settings > General > iPhone Storage. Turns out, I still had some gigabytes, so that was clear.
Digging Deeper
Since the simple stuff didn’t work, I did a little more digging. I went to Settings > General > Software Update. My iPhone was telling me that iOS 17.5.1 was ready to install, I pressed Download and Install, but nothing happened.
I restarted my phone. Sometimes it work. But it still didn’t update.
Success!
At last,I tried to update again. I went back to Settings > General > Software Update. And it works! The progress bar started, and download time took a few * phone finally updated to iOS 17.5.1!
