I’ve been on the hunt for a decent phone case lately, specifically a cardholder case for my iPhone X. My old one was falling apart, and I really needed something that could hold a couple of cards along with protecting my phone.
So, I started browsing around online, checking out different stores. There are tons of options out there, from the super cheap ones to the really fancy, expensive ones. I was aiming for something in the middle, you know, good quality but not breaking the bank.
I narrowed it down to a few that looked promising. One was called “Wallet Slayer Vol. 2” by Smartish, which sounded kind of cool. It had a kickstand, which seemed useful. I also found some from Vofolen and SAMONPOW, they all seemed pretty similar in terms of price, around $9 or $10. They all had the basic card slots on the back, and most of them claimed to be “shockproof” and “durable.”
Deciding wasn’t easy. They all had decent reviews, and honestly, they looked pretty much the same. I even saw one on an online marketplace that was custom-made, but I wasn’t sure about the quality, and it was a bit pricier.
Eventually, I ended up going with a simple PU leather one. It had a magnetic clasp, which I liked, and the card slots looked sturdy enough. I figured it was worth a shot. The price was right, and it seemed like it would do the *, I saw “Only 19 left in stock” so I felt like I needed to order soon.
When it arrived, I popped my phone in right away. The fit was perfect, and it felt pretty solid in my hand. The card slots were a bit tight at first, but after putting my cards in and out a few times, they loosened up just enough. I can comfortably fit my ID and a credit card in there, which is all I really need.
I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and so far, so good. It’s definitely an upgrade from my old case. It doesn’t add too much bulk to the phone, and it’s been protecting it from a few accidental drops. The magnetic clasp is holding up well, and the kickstand feature actually comes in handy when I’m watching videos.
My Thoughts So Far
- Protection: Seems pretty good. I’ve dropped my phone a couple of times (oops), and no damage so far.
- Card slots: They work well. A bit tight at first, but they loosen up with use.
- Look and feel: It’s not the fanciest case, but it looks decent and feels good in my hand.
- Price: Can’t beat it. It was definitely a good deal for the price.
Overall, I’m pretty happy with this purchase. It’s a simple, functional case that does what it’s supposed to do. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly cardholder case for your iPhone X, I’d say it’s worth checking out. Just don’t expect anything super fancy, it’s more about practicality than luxury.
