Okay, so I’ve been getting a lot of questions about my Fitbit Sense, specifically about whether it’s waterproof or not. So, I decided to put it to the test myself and document the whole thing. Here’s how it went down:
The “Shower Test”
First things first, I wore it in the shower. I know, I know, some people are super careful with their gadgets, but I wanted a real-world test. I didn’t just stand there either; I washed my hair, soaped up, the whole nine yards. The Fitbit Sense got plenty wet, no doubt about it.
After the shower, I took it off and dried it with a towel. The screen was still working perfectly, all the buttons were responsive, and there were no signs of water damage whatsoever. So far, so good!
The “Sink Dunk”
Next up, I decided to up the ante a bit. I filled the sink with water and submerged the Fitbit Sense. I didn’t just dip it in and out; I left it there for a good five minutes, just to see what would happen.
I swished it around a few times, pretending my wrist moving in the water.
After five minutes, I pulled it out, dried it off, and checked it again. Still working perfectly! No glitches, no weird screen issues, nothing. It was like nothing had even happened.
The Final Result
I have been wearing my fitbit in shower everyday, now it’s been three month, still functioning well!
Based on my little experiments, I’d say the Fitbit Sense is pretty darn water-resistant. I wouldn’t go scuba diving with it, but for everyday stuff like showering, washing dishes, or getting caught in the rain, it seems to hold up just fine. Just my two cents, based on my own experience!
