Okay, so I needed a new case for my iPhone 6. I’ve had some bad luck with cases in the past, either they’re too bulky, or they don’t offer enough protection, or they just look… ugly.
I started by browsing online, just to get a sense of what’s out there. I knew I wanted something slim but still protective. I saw a few Speck cases pop up and they looked pretty promising. I’ve heard good things about Speck before, so I decided to dig a little deeper.
Checking Out the Options
I focused on a few different Speck models. There was the CandyShell, the CandyShell Grip, and a couple of others. I read some reviews, watched a few videos… you know, the usual.
- CandyShell: Seemed like the basic, all-around good option.
- CandyShell Grip: This one had those rubbery ridges, which sounded good for preventing drops.
I was leaning towards the Grip, honestly. I’m kind of clumsy, so the extra grip seemed like a smart move. I’m all about that drop-proof.
Making the Purchase and install
Found a good deal on the CandyShell Grip. It was a simple black color. It’s basic I know, but I prefer more low-key.
It arrived a couple of days later. It was super easy to snap onto my phone. Fit perfectly, no weird gaps or anything. All the buttons were still easy to press, and the charging port was totally accessible.
Living with the Case
Been using this case for a while, and I’m happy. it doesn’t add a ton of bulk, and it feels way more secure in my hand.
Overall, super happy with this Speck case. Did the research, picked the one that seemed right for me, and it’s been working out great. That’s a win in my book!
