Okay, here’s my experience buying a case for my new 15-inch MacBook Air M3:
So, I finally got my hands on the new 15-inch MacBook Air M3! Super stoked about it. The thing is gorgeous, but also, I’m kinda paranoid about scratching it. I mean, I just spent all this money, so I gotta protect it, right?
First thing I did was hop online and start looking for cases. I was immediately overwhelmed. There are SO MANY options! Hard shells, soft sleeves, leather ones, plastic ones… it’s a lot to take in.
My Shopping Process
- Started broad: I just typed “MacBook Air 15 inch case” into a search engine. Saw a bunch of ads, and a bunch of different websites I’d never heard of.
- Narrowed it down: I decided I wanted a hard shell case. I like the idea of something that’s always on the laptop, protecting it from bumps and scratches in my bag.
- Read reviews: This is key! I spent a good hour just reading reviews on different cases. Some seemed flimsy, others had issues with fit, and a few had complaints about blocking the ports.
- Compared prices. There is a really wide price. I don’t want to be cheap.
- Looked for something sleek: I didn’t want a case that would add a ton of bulk to my super-slim Air. Aesthetics matter, people!
After all that searching, I finally settled on a clear hard shell case. I figured it would show off the MacBook’s color (I got the Midnight one, it’s beautiful!) while still offering decent protection.
I will install it later.
It will protect my new Macbook Air!
