Okay, so I needed a new case for my 13-inch MacBook Pro. The old one was, well, let’s just say it had seen better days. Scratched, cracked…yikes. I wanted something clear this time, so I could still see that sleek Apple design, you know?
The Hunt Begins
I started by just browsing, you know, seeing what was out there. I looked at a few different online stores, reading reviews, comparing prices…the usual.
Narrowing it Down
I quickly learned that “clear” doesn’t always mean crystal clear. Some cases had this frosted look, which wasn’t really what I was going for. I wanted something that would show off the MacBook, not hide it. I also needed to be sure that the cut out were in the right places for the model of macbook I have.
Making the Choice
Finally, I found one that I liked. Good reviews, seemed sturdy enough, and most importantly, it was truly clear. It was also important that is was manufactured by a reputable company that had a long history of qualtiy products. I’m a bit picky, so I did some research, found a few videos and reviews, and decided to order the one I thought would be best.
The Installation
-
Step 1: Cleaned the MacBook.
I gave my MacBook a good wipe-down first. No point in trapping dust and crumbs under a new case.
-
Step 2: Snapped on the bottom piece.
The case came in two pieces, top and bottom. The bottom piece was super easy to snap on. Just aligned it and clicked it into place.
-
Step 3: Snapped on the top piece.
The top piece was a little trickier, just because I wanted to be extra careful not to scratch the screen or anything. But with a bit of gentle maneuvering, it clicked on too.
The Result
Done! My MacBook looks great, protected and still stylish. I’m happy with how it turned out, and it wasn’t a hassle at all. Definitely glad I went with the clear case – it’s exactly what I wanted.
