So, the other day, I really got into this mobile game, Monopoly Go. I was so pumped to play it, you know, really wanted to kill some time. I downloaded it and all, but guess what? It just wouldn’t start! No matter what I did, the app simply refused to cooperate.
First, I tried restarting the app. I completely closed it, cleared it from my recent apps, and tried launching it again. Nothing. Still stuck. I thought maybe it’s my phone acting up. So, I gave my phone a quick reboot. You know, the classic turn it off and on again move. Still no luck. The game just kept crashing on startup, showing me some error message. It was super annoying.
- Tried restarting the app.
- Tried rebooting my phone.
Then I thought, maybe there is a new version of the game. Developers are always pushing those updates, right? So I went to the app store, checked for updates, and boom, there it was. An update for Monopoly Go! I quickly updated it, thinking this has got to fix it. I launched the game again, fingers crossed, but no. Still the same issue. Crashing. Error message. I was about to lose it.
- Checked for game updates.
- Updated the game.
Next, I figured maybe there are some other apps running in the background, messing with the game. So, I went ahead and closed all the other apps. I made sure only Monopoly Go was running. Launched it again and guess what? Still nothing! I was seriously getting frustrated at this point. It just refused to work.
- Cleared background apps.
I even checked if my phone’s operating system was up to date. Maybe that was causing the problem, right? I went into my phone’s settings and made sure I had the latest software update. My phone was good to go. But Monopoly Go? Still not working. I was starting to think maybe it’s just not meant to be.
- Checked for phone OS updates.
- Updated the phone’s OS.
Left it for a while
I decided to just leave it for a while. Maybe it was some server issue or something. I did some other stuff, took a break, and then came back to it a few hours later. And you won’t believe it. The game started working! Just like that, out of the blue. No more crashes, no more error messages. It fixed itself somehow. It was so weird but I was so happy that I didn’t care why it happened.
I still don’t know what exactly caused the problem, but hey, it’s working now. Maybe it was just a temporary glitch. Anyway, I just wanted to share my little adventure with this game. It was a rollercoaster of emotions, but in the end, I got to play Monopoly Go. And it was pretty fun, I gotta say.
