Okay, here’s my blog post about cleaning my 13-inch MacBook case:
So, my clear MacBook case was looking pretty gross. You know, fingerprints, smudges, maybe a little bit of who-knows-what stuck on there. It was definitely time for a cleaning!
Gathering My Supplies
First, I grabbed the stuff I needed. Nothing fancy, just:
- A soft microfiber cloth – the kind you use for glasses or screens. I didn’t want to scratch anything.
- Some mild dish soap – I figured if it’s safe for plates, it’s safe for my case.
- Warm water – not too hot, not too cold.
- Another clean, dry cloth for drying.
Getting Started
First things first, I took the case OFF my MacBook. This is super important! You don’t want any water near your actual computer.
The Cleaning Process
I mixed a tiny bit of the dish soap with the warm water in a bowl.
I put my hand into the case, then I wet the microfiber cloth with it and start to wipe every coner of the case.
I can feel the dirt when I wipe the surface, and I just kept going until it felt smooth.
After cleaning, I used another dry cloth to dry it up.
The Final Result!
And that’s it! My MacBook case is sparkling! I just need to put it back to my lovely MacBook. I’ll probably make this a regular thing, maybe once a month or so, to keep it looking good.
