Yo, what’s up, guys! It’s your boy back at it again. Today, I wanna talk about something that’s been bugging me lately – protecting my iPhone camera. I mean, I just got the new iPhone, and that camera bump is serious, you know? I’m always worried about scratching it or, even worse, cracking it.
So, I started looking into ways to cover my iPhone camera. First, I went on to those online shopping places, you know, the usual suspects. I typed in “iPhone camera cover” and, boy, did I get a ton of results. There were these individual lens protectors, some made of tempered glass, others plastic. Some were even claiming to be “unbreakable” – yeah, right.
- First things first, I ordered a pack of those tempered glass ones. They were pretty cheap, like a 6-pack for a few bucks. Figured it was worth a shot.
- When they arrived, I carefully cleaned my camera lenses and stuck those bad boys on. It was a bit fiddly, but I managed.
And you know what? They were okay. I mean, they did the job, I guess. But they also kinda messed with the picture quality a bit. Like, there was this weird glare sometimes, and the colors seemed a bit off. Plus, they kept falling off! I’d find them stuck to the inside of my pocket or just randomly on the floor.
So, I moved on to those cases with built-in camera covers. I found a few online that looked decent. Some had these sliding covers, others had little flip doors. I ordered a couple to try out.
- The first one I tried had a sliding cover. It was cool at first, but then it started getting stuck. Plus, it added a lot of bulk to my phone.
- The next one had a flip door. That one was even worse! The hinge was flimsy, and the door kept popping open at random times.
Honestly, I was starting to get frustrated. I just wanted something simple and reliable to protect my camera without ruining my photos or making my phone feel like a brick.
Then it hit me
Why not just use a regular phone case with a raised lip around the camera? I mean, that’s what most people do, right? So, I started looking for a case like that. I found one that had a pretty thick lip around the camera, and it looked pretty sturdy. I ordered it, and when it arrived, I immediately put it on my phone.
And you know what? It’s been great! It’s not perfect, of course. I still have to be careful not to drop my phone face down. But the raised lip definitely helps protect the camera from scratches and bumps. And it doesn’t mess with the picture quality at all. Or, when it is rainy or wet, I must be very careful.
So, that’s my story about covering my iPhone camera. It’s been a bit of a journey, but I think I finally found a solution that works for me. If you’re also looking for a way to protect your camera, I’d recommend trying a regular case with a raised lip. It’s simple, it’s effective, and it won’t break the bank. Peace out!
