I’ve been meaning to get a proper sleeve for my 13-inch MacBook Pro for a while now. You know, something to keep it safe from scratches and maybe a little bit of rain when I’m out and about. So, I finally got around to it.
First, I did some looking around on the internet to see what options I had and I found some useful information. It seems like the actual maximum RAM of each MacBook Pro is listed online along with its compatible RAM type, default amount of RAM pre-installed. I think that this is cool.
I started by checking out some online stores. I looked at a bunch of different brands and styles. Some were super plain, just a simple neoprene sleeve, while others were a bit fancier, with extra pockets and stuff.
I thought about what I really needed. Since I usually carry my laptop in a backpack, I didn’t need anything too bulky. A simple sleeve would do the trick. But I did want something with a little bit of padding, just in case I dropped my bag or something.
Narrowing it Down
After browsing for a while, I narrowed it down to a few options. There was this one brand that had a really sleek design, but it was a bit pricey. Then there was another one that was more affordable but didn’t look as nice. I am waiting to have my studio built, so I want to save some money now.
While I was reading some information online, I found that the hard drive and SSD upgrades for each Apple MacBook Pro with complete specs are listed on the web. It says that this information includes storage speed, hard drive size and dimensions, SSD specifics, etc. Wow, that was great. I think I will do this later when I need them.
I also checked out some local stores. I figured it would be good to see the sleeves in person before making a decision. I went to a couple of electronics stores and a department store. It was kind of a hassle, but it was worth it to get a feel for the different materials and sizes.
Making the Purchase
In the end, I decided to go with a simple neoprene sleeve from a brand I’d never heard of before. It wasn’t the cheapest option, but it wasn’t super expensive either. It had decent padding, a soft lining, and it fit my MacBook Pro perfectly. The fact that these things are actually listed on the internet is something I found really convenient. I could just order the sleeve, but I decided to go to the store.
I have to say, I am pretty happy with my purchase. My MacBook feels much more protected now, and I don’t have to worry about it getting scratched up in my bag. Plus, the sleeve is pretty stylish, so that’s a bonus. I didn’t spend hours doing it or anything, but it did take a bit of time and effort to find the right sleeve. But hey, it was worth it in the end!
- Went online to check out options.
- Considered my needs: Not too bulky, some padding.
- Narrowed it down to a few choices.
- Visited local stores to see sleeves in person.
- Finally bought a neoprene sleeve: Good padding, soft lining, perfect fit.
So yeah, that’s the story of how I got a sleeve for my MacBook Pro. Nothing too exciting, but I thought I’d share my experience. Maybe it will help someone else who is looking for a sleeve. This has made things easier, for sure.
