So, I’ve been on this whole kick lately about keeping my phone’s camera safe and sound. You know how it is – you get a new phone, and you’re all excited about the camera quality, but then you start worrying about scratches and smudges. It’s a real pain.
I decided to take action and start looking for a camera cover for my phone. I checked out a bunch of different options online, read some reviews, and even asked some friends for their opinions. After a bit of digging, I decided to go with a physical cover – you know, the kind that sticks right onto the lens.
First, I tried using a small piece of tape. I just cut a tiny square and carefully placed it over the camera lens. It worked okay, but it wasn’t the most elegant solution. Plus, I was a little worried about the tape leaving some sticky residue behind when I took it off, that’s not what I want.
Next, I experimented with some stickers I had lying around. I found a few that were the right size, and they seemed to do the trick. But again, it wasn’t perfect. Some of them were a bit too thick, and they kind of messed with the look of my phone. And yeah, I was still concerned about the potential for sticky stuff left on the lens.
After those attempts, I figured I’d try some actual camera cover accessories. I went online and found a bunch of sliding camera covers and lens caps that were designed specifically for phones. It’s pretty cool how many options there are out there. They actually look quite smart and easy to use.
I ended up ordering a couple of different ones to try out. They just arrived yesterday, and I spent a good chunk of the evening playing around with them. One is a sliding cover that attaches to my phone case. It’s super easy to slide open when I want to take a picture and then close it back up when I’m done, I really like this one.
The other one is a little lens cap that I can pop on and off. It’s a bit more fiddly, but it does provide a bit more complete coverage. I think it will be a good way for the lens protection.
Honestly, after trying out all these different options, I feel a lot better about protecting my phone’s camera. Here’s what I learned from this whole experience:
- Using tape or stickers can work in a pinch, but it’s not ideal.
- There are some really cool camera cover accessories available.
- Sliding covers are convenient and easy to use.
- Lens caps offer more thorough protection.
I’m still experimenting to see which one I like best, but it’s nice to know that I have a few options to keep my camera lens safe from scratches and smudges. I’ll keep you guys posted on which one I end up sticking with!
