Okay, so I’ve been rocking this iPhone 12 for a while now, and I’m kinda paranoid about people peeking at my screen. You know, like when you’re on the train or in a coffee shop, and you just feel those eyes on your phone? Yeah, I hate that. So, I decided to get a privacy screen protector.
The Hunt
First things first, I had to find one. I looked around online a bit, checked out some reviews, and ended up grabbing one that seemed pretty popular. There are tons of options out there, different brands, different price points…it’s a bit overwhelming, honestly.
Putting it On
Getting the thing on the phone was the next challenge. I’ve put on regular screen protectors before, and it’s always a bit of a pain, with the dust and the bubbles, ugh. This one was no different. I cleaned my iPhone screen like crazy, used those little dust-removal stickers, the whole nine yards. I carefully lined it up, and then slowly lowered it onto the screen. The moment has come!
Bubble Trouble!
Of course, there were a few bubbles. It wouldn’t be a true screen protector experience without them, right? I used a little card that came in the package to push the bubbles out to the edges. Took a little patience, but I got most of them. There might be a tiny one left, but it’s barely noticeable.
The Privacy Test
The real test, though, was the privacy. I tilted my phone to the side, and…wow! It actually works! The screen goes dark when you look at it from an angle. It’s like magic! Okay, maybe not magic, but it’s pretty darn cool.
- Success: It works as advertised, it gets dark if I view my iphone 12 from an angle.
- Small Drawbacks: Putting it on can be a little tricky.
Living With It
I’ve been using the privacy screen for a few weeks now, and I’m pretty happy with it. I definitely feel more comfortable using my phone in public. No more worrying about sneaky eyes! It does make the screen a little bit dimmer, especially in bright sunlight, but it’s a trade-off I’m willing to make for the added privacy. It’s not perfect, but it’s definitely made a difference in how I use my phone in public.
