Okay, so I finally got my hands on the Red Magic 9 Pro, the Chinese version. I’ve been eyeing this phone for a while, and I’m super stoked to share my initial experience with it.
Unboxing and First Impressions
First things first, the unboxing. The box itself is pretty standard, nothing too flashy. Inside, you get the phone, of course, a fast charger, a USB-C cable, and some basic paperwork. I picked up the black version, and man, it looks sleek. It’s got this cool, almost futuristic vibe with sharp angles. But, It’s a total fingerprint magnet, just warning ya!
Setting it Up
Powering it on, It has a Chinese ROM, I had to do some extra stuff. I spent a good hour just fiddling with the settings. The biggest hurdle? Getting the basic apps to work. It doesn’t come with any of them pre-installed. I have to download them from their app store.
- First,I connected to my * straightforward.
- Then.I create an account, It’s a bit annoying because everthing is in Chinese.
- Next I search and download the app I want.
Daily Driving the Beast
After using this as my primary phone, I’m really liking it. The screen is gorgeous – super bright and vibrant, perfect for watching videos and gaming. I also install the apps and games I often use,to test it.
The battery life is incredible, easily lasting me a full day of heavy use. And when it does need a top-up, that fast charger is crazy fast. I can charge my phone in a flash when I’m in a hurry.
Final Thoughts (For Now)
So far, I’m pretty impressed with the Red Magic 9 Pro. It’s powerful, has a great display, and the battery life is * you’re not afraid of a little setup work, this phone is definitely worth checking out. I’ll keep using it and probably post some more in-depth thoughts later, especially about gaming performance.
