Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with headphones lately, specifically the Soundcore by Anker Space Q45 and the Sennheiser ACCENTUM Plus. I wanted to see which one was better, so I did a little experiment.
First off, I got my hands on both pairs. I unboxed them, charged them up, you know, the usual stuff. Then I started wearing them around to get a feel for how comfy they were. The Anker ones felt pretty good right off the bat, a bit more comfortable than the Sennheisers, to be honest.
Next, I wanted to see how well they blocked out noise. I put on some music and went to some noisy places, like a busy street and a crowded cafe. The Anker headphones were seriously impressive here. They have this ANC technology, which is active noise cancellation, and it worked wonders. They blocked out way more noise than the Sennheisers. It was like being in my own little world.
Of course, I also had to check out the sound quality. I listened to a bunch of different songs, podcasts, and even some audiobooks. Both headphones sounded good, but the Sennheisers had a bit more balance in the mid-range, which I liked. The Anker ones were a bit more bass-heavy, which isn’t bad, just different.
- Comfort: Anker takes the cake here. They just felt better on my head, especially for long periods.
- Noise Isolation: Anker again. The ANC is just better.
- Sound Quality: Sennheiser has a slight edge with a more balanced sound, but Anker is still good.
- Battery Life: Sennheiser lasted a bit longer in my tests.
- Other Stuff: Anker supports this LDAC thing for better audio streaming, which is cool. I also noticed the Anker’s microphone was better for calls.
I even looked up some reviews online to see what other people thought. Seems like a lot of folks agree that the Q45 is a solid choice for the price. One site called it the “best midrange” and another said it was “the one to beat.”
So, after all this, what’s the verdict? Well, it depends on what you’re looking for. If you want the best noise cancellation and good comfort, the Anker Soundcore Space Q45 is the way to go. They are also a bit cheaper, I found. But if you prioritize a more balanced sound and slightly longer battery life, the Sennheiser ACCENTUM Plus might be a better fit. In any way, both headphones are good, to be honest, and I’m happy that I have tried it. I can use these experiences in the future, for sure.
Oh, and one more thing, I measured the driver unit of the Anker Q45, and it’s 40mm in diameter, just in case you’re interested.
Hope this helps anyone who’s trying to decide between these two!
