Okay, here’s my experience with the Spigen Apple Watch case, written like a casual blog post:
So, I finally caved and got myself an Apple Watch. I’m clumsy, okay? I knew I needed to protect this thing, and fast. After looking at tons of options, I went with a Spigen case. I’ve used their phone cases before and always liked ’em.
Choosing the Right One
First, I had to figure out WHICH Spigen case I even wanted. They’ve got, like, a million. I scrolled through their website, reading all the product information carefully, just looking at pictures and descriptions. Ended up picking the Rugged Armor one – seemed like a good balance of protection without being too bulky.
Putting it On
Getting the case was easy. putting it on… well, that took a minute. It’s a snug fit, which is good! I watched their short video, It’s basically a flexible TPU material, so you kind of have to stretch it and wiggle the watch in. I was a little worried I’d scratch the watch in the process, but I was super careful and it went on fine. Took me maybe two tries to get it lined up perfectly.
Living With It
Once it was on, I was immediately relieved. It felt MUCH more secure on my wrist. The case has a raised lip around the screen, so I’m not as paranoid about bumping it into things. The buttons are still easy to press, they’re covered but still clicky, you know? And the Digital Crown is still totally usable.
I’ve been wearing it for a few weeks now, I have bumped my watch into walls a few times, and the case definitely did its job. No scratches on the watch itself! It’s also surprisingly comfortable, and I had thought it will effect my comfortable wearing experience. I forget it’s even there most of the time.
My Overall Thoughts
- Pros:
- Feels really protective.
- Buttons and crown still work great.
- Doesn’t add too much bulk.
- Pretty easy to install (once you get the hang of it).
- Cons:
- Can be a little tricky to get on at first.
- Might not be the “prettiest” case, but I’m all about function.
Overall, I am super happy with my purchase and will keep using. I’d definitely recommend a Spigen case if you’re a klutz like me and want some peace of mind for your Apple Watch!
