So, I was messing around with Writer Duet the other day, and I somehow managed to get my script stuck in this weird double-view mode. You know, the same script was showing up twice on my screen, side by side, and I just couldn’t figure out how to get rid of it. It was driving me nuts!
I started clicking around like a madman, trying to find a way to exit this split-screen view. I looked through all the menus, but nothing seemed to work. I even tried closing tabs, but that didn’t do the trick either. It was like the program was playing a joke on me.
Then, I remembered that Writer Duet has a bunch of customization options. I figured there had to be something in there that could help me out. I went to the Customize menu and started poking around.
- First, I checked out the “Editing” section, but that wasn’t it. It was more about how Enter and Tab keys work.
- Next, I stumbled upon something called “View” and then “Status Bar.” Bingo! That sounded promising.
I clicked on “Status Bar,” and there it was! On the right-hand side, I saw options for “Single,” “Multiple View,” and “Book.” I was in “Multiple View” mode. I quickly switched it to “Single,” and poof! The double-view was gone.
Finally, I could see my script in one single view again. It was such a relief! I felt like I had just solved some complex puzzle. Who knew it could be so easy?
Honestly, it was a bit of a facepalm moment. It’s probably something super obvious to most people, but hey, I’m still learning. Anyway, I just wanted to share my little adventure in case anyone else out there gets stuck in the same situation. Don’t panic, the solution is just a few clicks away!
