Okay, so I wanted to try out these “suction cup silicone” things I saw online. I wasn’t even sure what I’d use them for, but they looked kinda cool and I figured, why not?
Getting Started
First, I ordered a pack online. There were tons of different kinds, some with little hooks, some flat, some shaped like mushrooms…it was overwhelming! I just picked a variety pack to keep things simple.
The Experiment
When they arrived, I was like a kid on Christmas morning. I ripped open the package and started sticking them to everything. Seriously, everything.
- The fridge? Yep.
- The window? You bet.
- My forehead? …Don’t judge.
Some of them stuck really well, others…not so much. It seemed like the smoother the surface, the better the suction. My bumpy walls were a no-go, but the smooth tile in my bathroom was perfect.
Figuring Out Uses
After the initial “stick it everywhere” phase, I tried to find some actual practical uses. I stuck one to the inside of my shower to hold my loofah. Success!
Then, I used a couple to organize some charging cables on my desk. They worked pretty well for that, keeping the cords from tangling up.
My Thoughts
Overall, these suction cup things are pretty neat. They’re not super strong, so don’t expect to hang anything heavy. I tried with a picture and picture to the floor. But for light stuff, like organizing cables or holding small bathroom items, they’re handy.
They were fun to play with, and for the price, I’d say they’re worth a try if you’re looking for a simple way to stick stuff to smooth surfaces. Just don’t try sticking them to your forehead. Trust me on that one.
