So I went on a little adventure today, to 70 Little West Street in New York. Yeah, that’s right, Battery Park City. Had to check out this building I’d been hearing about, figured I’d see what all the fuss was concerning this place.
First off, getting there was a bit of a journey. Hopped on the subway, you know how it is, packed like sardines. But hey, that’s New York for you, right? Finally got off and started walking. This area, Battery Park City, it’s pretty nice, kinda fancy. Lots of tall buildings, you know, the whole nine yards.
Walked up to 70 Little West Street and whoa, this place is huge. It’s one of those big, modern apartment buildings. Looked like it had a ton of apartments, maybe even some condos. I saw folks going in and out, seemed like a busy spot.
- There are tons of places for sale and rent.
- I saw some info about different apartments.
- One had 4 bedrooms, can you believe that? In New York City!
- Another one had 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Fancy.
- I saw a listing for an apartment on the 32nd floor, going for $14,500 a month. Ouch, my wallet hurts just thinking about it.
- There are other apartments, one with 2 bedrooms.
Peeking through the windows, I could tell this place was top-notch. I mean, the views! They talk about Hudson River views and views of the Statue of Liberty. Must be amazing to wake up to that every day. I bet at night, it is beautiful when the city is all light up. I saw some pictures online later, 13 of them apparently, and yeah, it looked as good as I thought.
One apartment, they called it a “condo home,” had 2 beds and was over 1,300 square feet. That’s pretty spacious for the city. There was another one, even bigger, with 6 beds and 5 baths. That’s like a mansion in the sky! They wanted over $6 million for that one. I might need to win the lottery first before I even think about that price.
They were going on about how great the apartments are. Stuff like “spacious dining rooms” and “walls of windows.” I guess if you’re paying that much, you want it to be nice, right? They mentioned hardwood floors too. Classy.
All in all, 70 Little West Street seems like a pretty swanky place to live.
If you’ve got the cash, that is. Me? I’ll just dream about those views for now. But it was cool to check it out and see how the other half lives. Maybe one day, who knows? Anyways if you have the money, I think it is not a bad choice for you to live in. You can go and take a look.
