Okay, so I recently got my hands on a Fitbit Charge 6. The band it came with was fine, but, you know, a guy likes to have options! So I started looking into different bands. I wanted to switch things up based on what I was doing – working out, going out, just chilling at home.
First, I checked the official Fitbit store. They have some decent choices, but I wanted to see what else was out there.
Then, I browsed through some big online retailers. The selection was HUGE. It was kind of overwhelming, to be honest. I saw everything from sporty silicone to fancy leather and even some metal ones.
My Selection Process
- Sporty Stuff: For workouts, I figured silicone was the way to go. It’s sweat-resistant and easy to clean. I found a couple of colorful ones that I liked.
- Everyday Wear: I wanted something comfortable and not too flashy for just wearing around. I ended up picking a woven nylon band. It’s breathable and feels pretty good on my wrist.
- Going Out: If I’m going somewhere a little nicer, I thought a leather band would be a good look. I spotted a simple, classic brown leather one that seemed perfect.
After reading a million reviews, and staring on the website of the bands,I finally decided on a few. I placed the order and waited (im)patiently.
When the package arrived, I was like a kid on Christmas morning. I ripped it open and tried on all the bands. Switching them out was pretty easy, just a little clip mechanism.
So far, I’m really happy with my choices. It’s nice to have different bands for different occasions. It makes the Fitbit feel a little less like a fitness tracker and more like a regular watch, which is cool. It’s such a simple change, but it totally updates the look!
