Alright, so I got myself an iPhone 14 recently, and I still had this iPhone 13 case lying around from my old phone. It was a pretty decent case, nothing fancy, but it did the job. I thought, “Hey, maybe I can save a few bucks and just use this old case on my new phone.” So, I decided to give it a try.
First, I took my iPhone 14 out and compared it side-by-side with the iPhone 13. They looked pretty similar in size, but I noticed that the camera bump on the iPhone 14 was slightly bigger. The buttons also seemed to be in a slightly different position.
I then tried to fit the iPhone 13 case onto my iPhone 14. It went on, but it was definitely a tight squeeze. I had to really push and wiggle it to get it in place.
- The case covered part of the camera bump on the iPhone 14.
- The buttons were also a bit off. The volume buttons were slightly misaligned, and the power button was a bit hard to press.
Tried using the phone with the case on. Taking pictures was a bit weird because the case was in the way of the camera. And pressing the side buttons required extra effort.
In the end, I decided that it wasn’t worth it. While I technically could use the iPhone 13 case on my iPhone 14, it just wasn’t a good fit. I didn’t want to risk damaging my new phone, and it was annoying to use.
My Final Thoughts
So, the bottom line is, no, an iPhone 13 case will not properly fit an iPhone 14. Save yourself the trouble and just get a new case that’s designed for the iPhone 14. Trust me, it’s worth it.
