Okay, so I’ve been trying to get a handle on this whole “parent portal” thing for my kid’s phone. He’s got a Troomi phone, and I wanted to see what I could actually do with the parent controls. Here’s how it all went down, from start to finish.
First Steps: Getting Logged In
First thing I did was find the Troomi Parent Portal website. I had set up an account when I first got my kid’s phone, so I dug up my login info. I entered my username and password, and boom, I was in.
Exploring the Dashboard
Once I was logged in, I landed on this main dashboard thing. It’s kind of like a control center. I could see my kid’s name and device listed right there. It’s pretty straightforward, showing some basic info.
Diving into the Features
This is where it got interesting. I started clicking around to see what I could actually control. Here’s what I messed with:
- Contacts: I poked around the contacts section. I could add new contacts for my kid, and I saw that I could also block certain *’s great.
- Text Messages: I peeked at the texts. It’s nice to know I can, just in case.
- Apps: I could control the * seemed pretty easy to select which applications can be used.
Making Some Changes (and Saving Them!)
I decided to try adding a new contact for my kid, just to test it out.I added a new contact to the list.I clicked “Save” (or something like that – can’t remember the exact wording), and it seemed to work just fine.
Logging Out and Overall Thoughts
After poking around for a bit, I logged out. My first impression? It’s not super * does seem to give me some decent control over my son’s device, which is really what I was after.I feel like I can make sure he’s using his phone safely, and that’s a big relief.
I still need to explore more of the features, there seemed to be a lot, but this was a good start. The biggest thing is, I was able to get in, look around, and make some basic changes without feeling totally lost. It’s definitely more user-friendly than I expected.
