Okay, so I’ve been messing around with Visible Wireless for a bit, and I figured I’d share my experience. I’m not some tech guru, just a regular guy who likes to stay connected without breaking the bank.

Signing Up

First off, I went ahead and signed up for Visible’s base plan. It’s supposed to be unlimited data, but they do mention that speeds might slow down at times. I thought, “Hey, for the price, it’s worth a shot.” Getting started was pretty simple. I did everything online, ordered a SIM card, and it showed up at my door in a couple of days. Popped it in my phone, followed the activation steps, and boom, I was connected.

Testing the Waters

Once I was up and running, I started testing it out. Browsing the web, checking emails, scrolling through social media – all the usual stuff. Most of the time, it worked fine. Pages loaded quickly, videos streamed without buffering, and I could even make video calls without any major issues. There were a few times when things got a little sluggish, especially during peak hours, but it wasn’t a deal-breaker for me.

The Speed Situation

Now, about those speeds. Visible says they might slow you down if the network is busy, and that’s definitely true. I noticed that during the evenings, when everyone’s probably online watching videos or whatever, my speeds would sometimes dip. It wasn’t terrible, but I could tell the difference. It wasn’t like I was back in the dial-up days or anything, but web pages might take a couple of extra seconds to load, and videos might buffer for a moment or two.

Data Usage

I tried checking all data that has been sent and received. I did used a tool named Cyclic Redundancy Check to run a data test within Windows, it seems work well.

The 5G Thing

One thing to note is that Visible’s base plan doesn’t give you access to their fastest 5G network, which is the 5G Ultra Wideband. I didn’t really mind since I don’t have a 5G phone anyway. But if you’re all about those super-fast 5G speeds, you might want to consider their Visible+ plan, which does include it. That one also gives you a chunk of “premium” data that’s not supposed to slow down.

Customer Service

I haven’t had any major problems, so I haven’t had to deal with customer service too much. I mean I tried to get in touch with them a few times through their chat support to ask some basic questions about my data usage. They are not very helpful each time. It was fine, I guess. They answered my questions, but it wasn’t like they went above and beyond or anything. I’ve heard some people say that Visible’s customer service isn’t the best, and they do seem not to care about your issues, but I haven’t had any bad experiences myself.

The Verdict

So, what’s the bottom line? If you’re looking for a cheap unlimited plan and you’re not a super heavy data user, Visible is a solid choice. It’s not perfect, and you might experience some slowdowns here and there. But for $25 a month, with all taxes and fees included, it’s a pretty good deal. The data is truly unlimited, so you don’t have to worry about going over some limit and getting charged extra.

If you need the fastest speeds all the time, or if you rely on your phone for work or something, you might want to look elsewhere. But for everyday use, checking emails, browsing the web, and streaming some videos, Visible gets the job done.

  • Pros:
    • Cheap unlimited data
    • No extra taxes or fees
    • Easy setup
  • Cons:
    • Speeds can be slow sometimes
    • No access to 5G Ultra Wideband on the base plan
    • Customer service is just okay

Overall, I’m pretty happy with Visible. It’s not the best network in the world, but it’s good enough for me, and it’s definitely the most affordable option I’ve found.
