So, I wanted to mess around with Peacock English ads, specifically getting them to show up all the time. I’m not gonna lie, it felt a bit like trying to catch a greased piglet at first, but I eventually got it working. Here’s how it went down:
First Steps: The Obvious Stuff
I started with the basics. You know, made sure I had a Peacock account and all that jazz.
- Made sure my Peacock subscription was active.
- Checked my device compatibility. It’s all on their website.
- Look at the general settings.
Diving Deeper: Playing with Settings
After checking all of the obvious setting options, I started really messing around with the account to see if it would change anything. I would:
- Logged in and out of my Peacock account a bunch of times.
- Cleared the cache and cookies on my browser (I was mostly using Chrome for this).
- Tried different devices. I have an old Android phone, a newer iPhone, and a smart TV.
The “Aha!” Moment (Kind Of)
Okay, so there’s no magic “always on” switch, I started to realize. It’s more about how Peacock decides what ads to show you and when. So it is not really and “Always On” button, but I was trying to get it to consistenly show.
I noticed a few things, and, full disclosure, this is just my experience, I started doing:
- Watched a lot of different content. I went from reality shows to documentaries to old sitcoms. My thought was, the more varied my viewing, the more likely they’d try to target me with different ads.
- Restarting the videos, and leaving some unfinished.
The Results (So Far)
Honestly, it’s been a mixed bag. I definitely started seeing more ads in general, including the English ones I was looking * felt like the more I messed with the app and watched different things, the more ads Peacock threw my way. Which makes sense, I guess.
So, it’s not perfect, and it’s definitely not a guaranteed “always on” solution. But by actively using Peacock, and trying different techniques, I have seen a definite change in how many ads, and what types of ads, I see.
