Okay, here’s my blog post about measuring my Kindle Paperwhite, written in a casual, first-person style:
So, I got myself the new Kindle Paperwhite, the 11th generation one. I love it, by the way! But before I bought a case and screen protector, I needed to know the exact dimensions. I mean, you can look it up online, sure, but I wanted to be absolutely certain, you know? Nothing worse than ordering something and it doesn’t fit.
My Measuring Mission
First, I grabbed my trusty ruler. I wanted something reliable, not one of those flimsy plastic ones. I went with a good old-fashioned metal ruler. Much more solid.
I started with the height. I laid the Kindle flat on my desk and carefully lined up the ruler. I made extra sure the ruler was straight. It looked to be about 6.9 inches, give or take. My eyes aren’t what they used to be!
Next up, the width. Same process – Kindle flat, ruler aligned. This one came out to roughly 4.9 inches. I measured it twice, just to be really sure.
Finally, the depth – this is the trickiest one, of course. The Kindle is so slim! I carefully held the ruler against the side. It’s hard to get an exact measurement, but it was around 0.32 inches. Super thin!
My Measurements
- Height: Around 6.9 inches
- Width: Roughly 4.9 inches
- Depth: Approximately 0.32 inches
After I measure it myself. I double check it online, it seems that my measurement is correct. I feel great for myself, such a good job!
So, there you have it! My little measuring adventure. It might seem silly, but I wanted to be 100% sure before I ordered any accessories. Now I can confidently buy a case that fits perfectly! Hope this helps anyone else out there who’s as particular as I am!
