Okay, so I wanted to watch some videos on YouTube the other day, but a bunch of them were blocked in my region. Super annoying, right? So I decided to figure out how to get around this, and I did! Here’s how my whole “unblocking YouTube” adventure went down.
First, I started searching around to see what other people did. I figured I wasn’t the only one with this problem. I typed in stuff like “youtube video blocked how to watch” and things like that.
My First Try (and Fail)
I found some advice suggesting I change my YouTube region settings. Seemed simple enough. I went into my YouTube account, clicked on my profile picture, and looked for the location settings. I switched it to a different country, figuring that would do the trick. Nope! Still blocked.
Digging Deeper
So, changing the location didn’t work. I went back to searching and read about something called, it sounds complicated, but it’s really not.
I found a few that, after I did my researchs, It looked pretty straightforward.
Trying a few options
I picked one and try.
- I installed the one I chose. It was super easy, just a few clicks.
- Once it was installed, I saw a new icon in my browser toolbar.
- I clicked on the icon and it gave me a list of countries to choose from.
- I selected a country where I knew the video wasn’t blocked.
Success!
I went back to the YouTube video that was blocked before, refreshed the page, and BAM! It played! No more “not available in your country” message. I was so stoked! It was like a little victory dance in my chair.
So yeah, that’s how I figured out how to unblock YouTube videos. Took a little bit of trial and error, but I got there in the end. Now I can watch whatever I want, whenever I want. Pretty awesome!
